The US Green Building Council
, an organization which promotes sustainable, healthy, and earth-friendly building has chosen the Convia-enabled Wiremold system to manage its 75,000-square-foot headquarters in Washington, DC. This system will play a critical role in helping the organization achieve its aggressive energy management goals. The new headquarters, still under construction, is expected to receive a LEED rating of Platinum, the highest level. The system will provide up to 23 points toward LEED CI certification and help the USGBC to achieve some very aggressive energy usage goals.
Victoria's Secret
, one of the world’s most recognizable retail brands, has deployed Convia as part of its modular store architecture initiative. This new program aims to create more flexible retail spaces that can be easily adapted to seasonal changes with little or no disruption. The result: a shopping experience that easily varies with seasons and product line changes, which adds to the interest and excitement for consumers.
The University of Notre Dame
installed the system in a laboratory environment to reduce overall energy consumption via occupancy sensors, daylight harvesting sensors, and plug load control. The goal: to reduce energy costs by 20%, using aggressive power management strategies including producing its own power. They also plan to integrate Convia with their existing audio/video control system. Given the “open architecture” of Convia, this can be done relatively simply by the Convia team handling the installation. Notre Dame has other Convia-enabled Wiremold systems planned as well.
